Share the Love this Valentine's Day…and Beyond!
Help Us Help Deserving Dogs, Horses and Their People

the pawsitive dog believes one of the best ways to save animals is through training. In some instances, that advantage is the key difference between life and death for shelter/rescue animals. For our 2012 fundraiser, we have chosen to help dogs, cats, horses and people.

With your help, starting on Valentine's Day, + dog is donating training classes to help the animals we love the most find forever homes. We chose three deserving organizations: Great Dog Rescue of New England, Northeast Animal Shelter, and Lucky Horse Equine Rescue.

Here's how it works:

  • Choose the rescue/shelter you loooooove the most from those above.
  • Write out a tax-deductible donation check directly to them and hand in (or mail to + dog, po box 200805, boston ma 02120) to + dog.  Your canceled check is your tax-deductible receipt.
  • Feel the love knowing you are helping animals in need two ways – with YOUR donation to their care and OUR donation to their training.
  • Earn your first good deed write-off of the year.

We'll then:

  • Add up the donations monthly and, in turn, donate double your amount in training classes.  For example, we donate 400 training dollars for every $200 you donate!

Great Dog Rescue of New England

Sweet Emma is just one of the dogs currently up for adoption at this all-breed rescue where the dogs live in private foster homes and generous facilities such as Fenway Bark (not shelters) until adopted. This 501(C)(3) is an all-volunteer group headquartered in Massachusetts and, since 2003, has placed over 3,000 dogs in New England. Learn more at www.gdrne.com. Northeast Animal Shelter

Little Patton is a 5-mo.-old hearing-impaired rescue who this no-kill shelter is helping to find a wonderful family. Since 1976, this 501(C)(3) has placed over 100,000 pets, including kitties, in forever homes. Located in Salem, MA, Northeast Animal Shelter is one of New England's largest no-kill shelters. Aileen & "Falah" at NRS Farm

This impressive teenager has donated every spare moment of her time and every penny of her earnings/cash gifts to help support and rehabilitate "Falah," an off-track Thoroughbred rescued by NRS Farm and Sanctuary, a division of Lucky Horse Equine Rescue, 501(C)(3). We are inspired by this unassuming 16-year old volunteer's patience, bravery and sacrifice as she prepares Falah for his new life in a private home. Jenifer already donates natural horsemanship training for Falah; your donation will be matched by + dog to help pay for Falah's (and our upcoming 2012 thoroughbred rescues') many other expenses (vet, shoes, board, etc.) at his training barn.
